Virgile has a blog!

Did you know it? Virgile, VP of Electronic Entertainment, has a blog. I never met Virgile personally but everybody I am talking to only tells me postively from him.

I have so many drafted blog postings and this subject was one of them since end of last year. Virgile's blog seemed inactive so I didn't hurry. But recently he started to post again quite frequently.

I think that teapotters thing could use more refined search options - aka turboSquid. I haven't published something yet but when you post a model you can specify the usage-conditions. But it's never displayed when looking on other models …

I am also interested in summing up all-time-ever published web racing games done with Virtools. Send me URLs so we get a nice collection because, it must be a bigger number!

Happy new year 2007

Like usual I am a bit late with this …

I updated my blog-system and normally you should now be able to comment without beeing forced to register. Before I used registration to protect comments from spam but now there are extensions doing it - we will see how solid they are …

Last week, a co-worker brought his Wii with him and that was my first chance to try it for myself. I like it - like everybody else! We had some fun with tennis, bowling and boxing. Though boxing seems not to react that fast to one's movements. Great toy!

Let me end this first post of 2007 with a little tip for programmers like me that do not dream binary: a flow-chart that helps to find a fitting STL container. It's from www.linuxsoftware.co.nz and it's linked from the Game Programming Wiki.
